Definition of cookies

All Silca Websites use cookies to make services convenient and efficient to users navigating their pages. Users accessing Silca Websites agree to the collection of cookies, text-only pieces of information that a website transfers to an individuals hard drive, with whatever device used, be it a computer or a mobile device, or in the directory of any website-browsing equipment for record-keeping purposes. There are different types of cookies, some meant to improve the user's online experience of the Website, others to activate certain functions.

The present policy applies to the Silca Electronic Catalogue and to the data search application Vehicle Key Finder Pro, and to the use of said programmes via the mobile app MySilca.

Silca Websites make use of two types of technical cookies:

Functionality cookies

These cookies are strictly necessary to enable services explicitly required by the user.
Once the user has closed the browser, they are not deleted but stored until a pre-set deadline. They are used to record the preferred language the user has set to view the Website.

Session cookies

Silca Websites specifically use navigation or session cookies, aimed at guaranteeing a comfortable, functional and optimized navigation of the website. Said cookies are deleted as the user logs out or when the browser is shut down. They are used to keep track of the users login information and avoid asking them to log in at every single page visited.

Profile cookies are not used by the Silca Websites.

Browser options to manage cookies

Users can object to the recording of cookies on their device by setting the browser used for the website navigation: if users do not change the browser settings before accessing the Silca Websites, it is assumed that they agree to the use of the abovementioned cookies.

We remind users that they can block the use of some or all the cookies aforementioned, by setting the browser used for the website navigation.
